More movies..
Jan. 10th, 2010 10:44 amSo I saw Jackie Chan yesterday. A friend had invited me to go to a premiere movie with him at 8 in the morning. Turns out, it was the upcoming film "The Spy Next Door." Jackie made an appearance before the show, just to say hello to the audience. He looked like a busy guy, because he had to run out really quickly after that. After the film, we also saw the three child actors of the movie giving autographs outside the theater. The best thing about all this is that everything was free. Popcorn, drinks, tickets.. all free!
The movie itself was okay. It was a typical, fun Jackie Chan film, and I pretty much expected everything that was going to happen. The target audience is mainly for kids and families, so the humor and story is aimed at them. However, I still found myself chuckling at the corny jokes. It's not bad to see if you like Jackie Chan films, but it's not something that would blow your mind away unless you're 6 years old.
I'm being invited again to go see the premiere of "Extraordinary Measures" on Tuesday evening at the Chinese Mann Theater. Hopefully I can make it that day.
