This sound is supposed to affect only young kids/teens. It's supposed to be really annoying. I can't seem to hear it though... Am I that old? I'll see if my cousin can hear it...

Wow, just got a last minute invitation to a surprise goodbye party this week. She's an old friend from elementary school who's leaving for seattle on friday. I'm not sure if I can make it due to the late notice.. although it'd be nice to see her off.

Man, I can't imagine her leaving LA though. Our families used to be really close. I even used to go to her house in my pajamas! We would meet randomly after we graduated from middle school... She would always be the same girl I remembered her as.... easy-going, fun, and upbeat. It's just strange to think she won't be around here anymore.

I always feel uneasy when I think of the past. It reminds me of how much time has gone by... how much everyone has accomplished, and how much I haven't.

But.. to my old friend, I wish her the best.
